My name is Brian Gillam, and I founded Brian Gillam Hockey to provide professional, high quality player and coach development services to minor hockey players, teams, coaches and associations.  With 40 years experience working in player and coach development through Hockey Canada, Hockey Eastern Ontario, high performance coaching and private player development I have built a thorough understanding of the development needs of stake holders at all levels of the game.

My session designs and delivery methods are based on contemporary frameworks and approaches to skill acquisition & learning, and supported by research.  Using representative learning designs and a constraints led approach I keep the player at the center of the learning process while addressing their development needs.  I do not deliver "cookie cutter" instruction.  Every session is customized for the player(s) on the ice after consultation with the player and/or coaches. 

These contemporary approaches and frameworks also form the core of my coach development and association programs.​
